Was watching the birds at the feeder this morning. There was a Dove that was trying to chase all of the other ground feeding birds away. We cleared an area of snow away under the feeder and they keep the spilled seed cleared under the feeder. He would chase the small birds away from one side of the clearing and they would land on the opposite side of the clearing. So he would go running over there after them. They liked to run him ragged! He finally gave up and flew off. But once the game was over, the sparrows, finches and snow birds gave up the game too!

We have many birds here. DH puts cracked corn for them also on gravel drive + the feeder. So far little snow. Reminds me to fill heated bird bath.
