We ended up with 9 boxes for our adopt a platoon. One very big box of books. And to my great relief all our friends got together and pooled their money and are paying the postage. :-D :-D :-D The custom forms were a nightmare. One form for each box. They took a total of 135 address labels. 45 per customs form. I sure am glad we could print them all on the computer. Going to the post office in the morning. Looks well packed,..and luckily all your friends pooled in cash to cover the postage,..it would be very costly otherwise,..the paperwork is crazy,..next stop will be the happy troops,..well done.
Your boxes are going to bring real pleasure to so many Donna. I wish we could see the looks on their faces when they open them. I'm so glad there are people like you in the world.
I received an e-mail with pic's from the troops for the boxes we sent when at my sisters in Ca. It was so heart warming. It was Valentines day so we sent valentines candy. CHOCOLATE and peeps. They were in heaven. They said the peeps disappeared instantly and the chocolate was heaven. This time we are sending high protein foods. They really need them. They asked for hygiene products, pens, pencils and paper, books, peanut butter and American snacks. They are getting all of the above including M&M's, oriole cookies and more chocolate. I bought a large bag of individually wrapped life savers and used them as fillers with a note "you are our LIFE SAVERS" THANK YOU. I would love to post the pic's, but I can not with out permission from the troops.
