    Hello All
This is one of my Brassia's that flowering at Christmas time. Without fail, every year it gives these delicate, slightly perfumed flowers - its my Christmas plant.

Hard to believe anything that delicate is growing outdoors at the moment but when you realise it's in Oz it all makes sense :) Great pic Lara, we are badly in need of 'flowering' pics now so if you have anymore we'll gobble them up 8)

    Just gorgeous, Lara!
The "spiders" are some of my favorite orchids. ;)

Just beautiful. I have the photo archives working again, I think, and your orchids occupy a prominent place

    Thanks everyone.

Its common name - spider orchid and I've got it growing under the tree, in a shade. Its very easy to grow and its flowering here from the end of December until the end of January.

    Love Lara

Perhaps all of us gardeners should keep a 'winter home' in OZ, where we can have such blooms without aid of a greenhouse for the holidays. Very pretty and delicate looking - no wonder you love them so.
