Brazilian firecracker vine

    This is a manettia cordifolia, one of the many things called firecracker vine. It is a hardy to zone 7 perennial vine. It is easy to maintain, dainty in habit and covered with blooms from now until hard frost. The hummingbirds adore it. This one is on my clothesline pole.

    It can be started from cuttings with a little patience. If you want a charming twining climber this is the plant for you.

    Congrats on the picture of the month Bethie .I thought it would be for sure.
    I would love to have a Firecracker Vine I will be looking for one in the Nurseries around hear but I have never seen one but wasn't looking for one then.

    Just beautiful!!! We call them trumpet vines here because of the shape of the flowers but whatever they're called they are quite lovely. :-D
