Bridal Bouquet Poppy...

    i winter sowed this...i.e., i planted it in a container in December and left it out in the snow and cold. isn't it pretty?!

    That is gorgeous. I have never seen one like that, glad it grew so well for you by winter sowing.

    I really like that!! I have a poppy (I think) volunteering it's little self in the back yard. I've been very careful weeding around it and watching it. I can't wait to see it :p Yours is gorgeous!

    thanks for all the great comments all! i thought it was quite unique.

    sjoerd, i planted several seeds in one container. have moved them out to the garden now.

    i bought the seeds from Select Seeds...and now, going through my list, i think it's not Bridal Bouquet, but Rosa Romantica...sometimes my labeling gets mixed up....sorry.

    i'm pretty sure this is the one....i know it's a poppy by the leaves...
