I decided to try to attack the weed garden out front with a hoe instead of my usual method of hands and a trowel, hoping it would go faster. My husband pulled a hoe out of his workshop. I've never seen this hoe before. Looks to be old probably sat out in the weather because the handle was rough. I had my garden gloves on and went at it until it broke about 20 minutes later. Husband claims I don't know how to hoe right. Like I've only been hoeing since I was a little girl. I didn't see him step in to hoe. And I have a blister in my left thumb web even through my gloves thanks to that rough handle. Ah well, it was too hot outside anyway. Just another excuse not to get the weeding done. It was actually going along pretty good and I was making good progress right up until it broke. I know, I know. I've got at least 2 more hoes in the shed but I'll wait till evening when its cooler to continue.

I never did catch on to hoeing...I have a winged weed eater that is sharp and helps with weeds pretty good...just don't go close to any plants you want ...I have cut off a few in the process.

I couldn't tell you exactly where my hoe is in our shed as I never use it. I have a weed burner that does the job well and if the weeds are too big then I hand pick them. I hope you can find an easy way to rid yourself of all those pesky weeds soon.
