We got 1/2 inch of rain last night and then it cleared out. The stars were out when I got up. Then the temp. started dropping. It ended up getting down to 35 deg. F. When I was outside I looked at the roof over the back porch and there was a light frost on it.

We're well into autumn here now too with low temperatures and clear, frosty nights. Just let's hope, when winter comes, we don't have the amount of snow we had last year!

Welcome to the club, Capt. We've had night frost on and off for about a month now, and this morning we've actually got a white cover on the ground. Brrr!

I don't even want to think of "white cover on the ground" and frosts and temps in the 30's! Here fall is official when I start wearing long pants. We have cold weather, but not until well into November (or December if we are particularly lucky!).
My sympathies to all you in the colder climes.

Our Air conditioner is on from mid afternoon thru the night too. And it is beginning to turn warmer earlier in the day again since the temps will be around 90 later this week.
