I got up at 4 am to get the woodburner going and it was 3 deg. F. It's up to 10 now at 9 am. Just started to snow and they say 1 to 3 inches. Friday Morn they say below 0 F with a high of 5.
We are in the deep freeze here too Capt! No relief until Saturday I hear. My woodstove is working overtime! Stay warm
I think we're all in the same boat at the moment as we have freezing temperatures too here in Scotland. I can hardly remember what my poor garden is like without a thick layer of frost on it.
And here's me, on the Norwegian coast, with a slight freeze of -2C/28F today, and the same is predicted for the next couple of days. No snow here now. An old Norwegian saying for January 13th goes "The winter is now half gone but the bitterest frost is still to come" or words to that effect.
Here too. We've had a "winter storm warning" for several days now with temps below zero (-11F/-32C last night). Not much wind, though, so it doesn't seem too bad to me. I must be getting used to it!
It got down to -45 during the night here ..........I am getting cabin fever. I haven't had any human contact seeing my husband is in California this week.(82* there) It is too cold to go anywhere, I don't want the truck to quit with it being so cold so I will stay at home.. He will be home on Friday so one more day to go...meanwhile I will just go outside to feed the birds and see what my dogs have to say..... Spring please come....
