I was going to say the same thing this morning Capt! I was just out to walk the dog and get some more firewood, but I'm not going back out there today! It is -20°C here with strong north winds making it feel like -35°C!

-9C here and bitterly cold. We now have over 2 feet of snow lying outside and still more to come!! The frost flowers are beautiful on the inside of the greenhouse but I doubt if any of my tendet plants will survive until spring in there. :(

I won't mention our temps for fear of being chased out of town ;) but we have been averaging 32F/0C at night and 40F/4C daytime.
But as one of our local weather prognosticators said last night, come Thurs a piece of the Arctic is supposed to break loose and come our way keeping us below 32F/0C for a couple of days and down around 15F/-9C at night. With another chance of snow too!

minus 3'c tonight, and on Tuesday...the day I am gardening all day, the wind chill factor is predicted to be minus 7'c here in Essex. BBBRRR indeed.

Well only got to 17 last night. But we did get about an inch of snow. So that put almost 3 inches on the ground. I went out and tried the new snow blower this moning. It works really well. Kind of hard to get used to as it steers different having the tracks on it. I did the turn around area in about 30 minutes. Had to stop a couple of times to adjust the skids. Too low and it picks up stones, too high and it leaves too much snow on the ground.

We're joining the Brrr-club. We've got something like 70 cm of snow on the ground outside, about 2.3 feet. I guess what came down is twice as much. We aren't done yet. And the temps are steadily creeping downwards. -10º C now, 14 F, and that's very cold for this area. I won't even think about the wind chill factor since we've got a strong breeze too.
