and made a new best friend! Reuben is 13months old and has absolutely no fear of anything(on Christmas day he climbed to the top of his grand-parent's stairs-Mum was following-in a matter of seconds!!!) The first thing he did was to dive headlong into Buddy's coat. ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Then he took his bone ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) and finally got a bit of walking practice! ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) I was soooooo proud of Buddy as he never complained once and in fact looked to be having a great time. Nyla,in the meantime was not having such a good time. That small human moves incredibly fast!!! ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) She is interested when he is sat on his daddy but doesn't want to know when he gets mobile.
That is just too sweet!! Thanks for sharing, I see your other dog was hiding but curious lol! Adorable!!
Great photographs!! It's good to see a toddler like Reuben who isn't afraid of dogs. I'm sure Buddy (and Nyla) will, in time, be the very best of friends. :-D
How cute! Some dogs just have the patience for all that tugging, climbing and hair pulling ... thankfully my dog was one of them when my kids were small!
Buddy is certainly living up to his name! Nyla will come around, especially when Reuben learns to pet her.
What memories you'll have and what memories for the grandparents too. Your pictures brought up my own memories of my babies with the loving pets that we had and, different dogs, but with my grandbabies too.
i think it will take Nyla time to warm up to the little ones,I suppose that Mark and I are quite quiet people in general and not prone to running around all over the place so when she comes face to face with them it is quite a surprise. I prefer her to stay away while they worry her as I would hate her to do anything harmful without meaning to. But it is a two-way street as it teaches the little ones how to behave around animals. I'm glad that I have reminded some of you of happy memories
Karin-- You really have provided great memories! Your photos are wonderful. I love the one of Reubin's face, and of Nyla watching safely out of range! Good for Buddy. Each dog knows how to cope in their own way.
Very cute an cuddly pic's of Grand, Buddy and Nyla. I could never trust my little dog to be so kind and tolerant. Had to keep the Grands away from her when she was sitting on her dads lap. NO one gets close to her when she is on dads lap except mom. She even growls at her toys if they get to close to her food when she is eating. Must think they will steal her supper. It is pretty funny to watch.
