Buffalo gourds

This is a Buffalo Gourd. Not one that you want in your yard. They are invasive. They spread and grow big round gourds. The root system can weigh up to 600 lbs and if you don't get it all out it comes back. This one is growing along the fence by the library. Across the streetfrom the library they have taken over a vacant lot. Dooley

 

Wow, how big do the gourds get, they would make neat planters if they get big enough.
