I took part in an exercise to document as much wildlife in a garden over one weekend. These are a few of the images I managed to get. Spiders at a size I can cope with ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) An interesting exercise to see just how much life one small garden can support.
Was that a "Springwatch" exercise? You found a lot of interesting characters. That little mass of spider hatchlings were interesting to see. I enjoyed your foto's.
Hi Sjoerd, It was called a Garden Bio Blitz and is run by volunteers and bug enthusiasts. http://www.gardenbioblitz.org One very keen chap identified over 200 different species Frank, you're welcome and yes,I admit to being afraid of them, smaller ones are ok but anything over an inch or so is called 'Mark" as he is my hero and comes to save them.
Garden Bio Blitz,..very interesting looking at the smaller things in the garden,..your first picture reminded me of Charlotte's Web,..i never came across that amount at one time,..great capture,..great shots.
