This is the bumpy road that narrows and goes downhill to our house. I guess that might be somewhere since it ends not too far along it. I think there are two houses past us. When it rains it gets gooey and we go up it sideways and sometimes not at all. Coming home we just slide downhill.

This is the part coming down the hill. Around the curve at the top is a large rut made from water running down it. You have to get two wheels on each side or go clear to one side and tip a little. Glenda doesn't like coming down it. I've gotten used to it.

This is our driveway. It's better than the road. The pieces leaning on the house are going to be a part of the deck when we have time to get it done. We have a fence running from the deck out to the front so Chance has a front yard to run in sometimes.
We started the fences to keep the other dogs in which didn't work.

This is the road going on past our house. I haven't gone down this road any further than our house. It's not so shady now that they cut some of the trees but it's still a nice place in the country to live.

I quite enjoyed seeing your pics this time, Dooley.. it's a shame that the Masnning Lane doesn't have some gravel on it...but then perhaps it would loose some of its charm.
I can well imagine that getting up and down that road could be a challenge when wet.
It looks like a very nice rural setting there. I like it.

Good Morning Dooley, I think it's a good thing that you don't get as much rain as we do. You have a pretty view though.

    Dooley,
Those are great photos. You do live out in the country, don't you? The road to our house is paved, but yours is more scenic. Thank you for sharing your bit of Texas.

Having spent a lot of time in NM Dooley, many friends lived on roads such as yours. Now we have another road that leads to another friend. Thank you for the great pix.

Reminds me of the red dirt roads of East Texas where Hubby is from.
Although driving on them can be a pain sometimes... there's a certain charm to them.
