Our American Legion Post is having another Fish Fry tomorrow (Sat.) So I made up 50 lbs. of cole slaw today. I had another guy helping me so it only took an hour to get it done. We had to raise our prices for this one. We have been charging $7 for baked beans, cole slaw, bread and fish all you can eat. Now we are charging $8 for the same meal. It's still a good price. The cost of the fish has gone up so we didn't have a choice. We use Alaskan Pollack and it is coated with a real beer batter. They are really out of this world.
$8 dollars seems more than reasonable to me CK and I'm sure everyone will agree. The price of fish here is absolutely extortionate and we now only have it as a special treat. I hope the weather is good for your fish fry and that you make another sizeable profit. :-D

$8 for an all you can eat meal is actually a very reasonable price. Hope it is a resounding success. I know we would be there in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far. Our favorite fish place charges me $8 for three pieces of fried Catfish, fries and two hushpuppies.
Good luck with your fish fry.Here in missouri when i go home , we do catfish,bass and even walleye and crappie, at my sisters house.Her husband loves to fish.When we can't eat that,we go to Captain D's.
