Nan! Those are absolutely spectacular photos!! Really beautiful, I never knew that a damselfly could look so good.
Thanks, Zuzu. Yes, it is a damselfly, not a dragonfly. A dragonfly does not hold wings along the body when at rest. Thanks again for pointing this out. You know, in my mother language, there is no distinguish between damselfly and dragonfly.
Excellent shots of both the butterfly and the damselfly Nan. I hope this is just the start of many piccies from you. :-D
beautiful!! 8) excellent pictures.....i love watching the differnt birds and insects visit the garden too
I LOVE the damselfly! I never knew that there were damselflys I'll have to pay more attention to the dragonflys.LOL
More butterfly pics I took in a field trip this weekend. I cannot identify all of them, and hope someone here can help.
What a wonderful array of butterflies you have in your garden. :-D You're so lucky to be able to get such wonderful shots of them all.

well toni beat me to it, the white peacock is the only one I know for certain 'cuz I did a painting of one once. But you really are a stellar photographer!
I am so envious! That one swallowtail I posted is the ONLY butterfly I have had around and it only stayed one day. Great shots!
