My husband was out feeding the birds this morning, and saw a Giant Swallowtail in the pasture. Intrepid man that he is, he put down the birdseed bucket and went into the pasture to get this photo. Giants are always so photogenic!
I am so chuffed that he took the trouble. I really like butterflies and never miss a chance to visit a butterfly house. We have a similar butterfly as this one in Nederland, but I find the colours of yours richer. We call them “Kininginnepages”.
