Hi, Need help buying a mattress that would help with common old mattress back pain, need a double size with $1000 budget. Any suggestions? Thanks
I keep seeing some good options in this article on http://talkaboutsleep.com/best-mattress-that-wont-sag/. I was actually thinking of buying one myself. They have good and positive reviews.
We have just bought one. An awful lot of choice in Britain so it is very hard to know which one. Best would have been to go and see one and try it in a store, but there are none near to us and the ones we could get to have a very limited range. We have chosen one which is as close to our old one as possible. Expensive thing to get wrong though. Fingers crossed. Hope you find one which suits.
We sleep on a water bed....Randy bought it before we met and had to wait until we bought our house in 1986 to put it together. Landlords were not at all interested in letting us test the strength of the foundations of their rental property. We love it, have replaced the mattress a couple of times over the years from usage and a vicious lightening storm a few years ago that hit the wiring and blew it out. but we would not trade it for any other type.
By the way the mattress cost us about $800 (sterling equivalent). Tried a water bed many many years ago at an Ideal Home Exhibition. Either they had it set up wrong or something, but it was like sleeping in a boat on a rough sea. Every time one moved you carried on going up and down afterwards.
We enjoy a sleep number bed. Its funny that it mostly stays the same but sometimes you just need it harder or softer.
A mattress is the only thing that is going to determine your comfort level while you sleep. When you sleep on a mattress that is too hard, you may wake up with a sore back and shoulders.
The bed of choice after looking and looking decided on a soft sides motionless water bed. It looks just like a regular mattress except it unzips to open to the inside where several separate tubes from head to toe 6” wide line up across the inside of the mattress.also with a soft foam pillow top. No bobbing around at all from movements. It has no pressure points which is important for body and back support. Fill with water to soft hard or medium by filling to lines marked on each tube. Just have to remember to add water conditioner every year and it’s so easy care. Regular sheets fit and had storage drawers under the mattress.
Some important things must be noted before buying the mattress for the home such as the quality of the foam, etc
