I'm putting in a couple wax myrtles along one of my fences to be a part of a visual barrier between us and a new subdivision there - my research said they should get about 12-15 feet tall, which is perfect, but I was wondering if any of you have any wax myrtles and if so, how fast has their growth seemed to be for you?

Online sites don't seem to agree on this one - some say it is "fast" others say "moderately slow" so I thought I'd toss it out there for comment.

In Texas they grow wild .They seem to be really speedy here but I don't know about the kind you have .I have never seen one as big as you described so they may be a different type.
