Calla Lily bulbs in a wet place

    Can you plant Calla Lily bulbs in a wet place? It stands in water.

    Calla Lilies do not like wet feet..meaning constantly wet soil.

    Are you talking about a pond area or a place with very slow drainage after rains?

    I have a boggy spot in my yard that stays wet, except during the severe droughts. I have Louisiana irises and canna lilies in it so far. I plan on adding more plants this spring and fall. I found this site with a list of plants for bog gardens. I would research any of the plants that you decide on to make sure they are suitable for your location. I hope this helps:

    Thank You,That was helpful. The bulbs are standing in water so I am going to move them this afternoon.We've had a lot of rain since I set them out.I hope they are ok. Thanks again
