    For those of you who grow the Callicarpa americana ( American beauty berry, French mulberry), here's the Chinese version, Callicarpa dichotoma, which to me, and a whole lot of other gardeners agree, has a superior form and growth habit.

    They start turning purple the same time as our native ones do. These are growing in too much shade and will be moved to Tabula Rasa.

    Is the growing hardiness the same or is more of a southern variety?
