    Hi,
Can anyone help me in identifying this terror?
It's about 25' to 30' tall They have stiff needle sharp points on the ends of the "leaves" . I tried trimming and picking up some of the fallen branches and one of the needles stuck me in the leg going in about 1/2 inch.
    Thanks.

Wow, nothing like that grows anywhere near here but it sure is pretty! Is it in your garden?

Yes, it is in my garden. I just moved here. I'm not sure, but I think it is a severely overgrown plant? I don't know what to do with it..LOL
It sort of looks like some sort of Palmetto, but the leaves are real stiff and the ends are extremely sharp.

I think it is a sago palm - boy that is a mightly big one. (The King sago palm does grow quite big.)
Lucky you - apart from the needle pricking you. I wish I could have palms.

Hey, thanks for the replies. It's quite a bit bigger than it looks in the picture. Like you all say, it does look rather nice and we're the only ones in the neighborhood sporting one.. haha!
Actually, I kind of hate to completely cut it down , but the neighbors are complaining about it. I think I might get a pro tree trimmer/gardener over here and see what he says about straightening it up.
After getting stuck I don't want to fool with it anymore, I am kind of scared of it now.. haha!
    Have a Nice day everyone.
