January 11, 2012 at 12:25 p.m. I found veggies growing in my garden.
Those pea blooms I posted a while back have set pods...or whatever it's called.

I am going to stick more seeds out in those two pots and a couple of others Friday, that will be after the two nights of freezing temps and maybe I will have more before too long.

I am getting a charge out of seeing this too. Here it is in the middle of the Winter and someone, just a message away, is having a harvest.

Way to go Toni! I think I'd wait for at least 3 pods before planning the meal. :-D

Wow, just look at you! It is just plain delightful to see your peas on here.
I shall have to dig out some frozen ones to eat tomorrow, having seen those freah, green pods.
    great accomplishment, Toni.

    peas

Of course you can eat sugar snap peas at any stage but for me they're better after they start to fatten up a little. If those are snow peas, they'll stay flat but I'd still wait a couple days. You can also eat the tips of the vines chopped in a salad if they didn't get sprayed with anything. Enjoy! :-D

Sorry to make everyone hungry for peas, especially at this time of the year ;)

The winds we had last night knocked the tower two of the vines are growing on over, but there was no damage to the vines or peas. In fact there is now a third pod forming, only about 1/2 inch long but maybe by early next week we will be eating Sugar Snap Peas for dinner one night....we will each get one or maybe Randy will be happier with his beets, our daughter likes corn...then I can have all three of them for myself. ;)

:D I usually like them best when they've started to fill out, but I can easily eat them very young if the craving for peas is strong enough. :D
