I have been growing my Rosemary in a large pot. This is the 3rd spring for it. The pot is just a black nursery pot that I spray painted beige.
I want to put it in a different pot this year. The new pot is close to the same size except the bottom is rounded where the pot it is in now has fairly straight sides so I would need to sheer off the root ball all around the bottom edges to make it fit.
There are 2 plants together now, an upright one and a cascading one.

I've 'haircut' root balls before now GT and the plants have never suffered from my doing it. As long as they are mature plants they should survive OK.
