Been out in the kitchen, rattle those pots and pans....and listening to my Christmas CD. :) No carols, not yet, but all the pop songs. Already have our large frosty the snowman standing on the stairs and my advent candle is already to be lit on the first. I have to tell you, now my birthday has been and gone, I am getting really excited.

I just finished the Thanksgiving dishes so with the exception of left overs Thanksgiving is over for this year. Tomorrow I can put away fall stuff and get out Christmas stuff. I don't know how much will get done outside but I may start there since rain is predicted for Sunday and Monday. We're going to the farmer's market on Saturday. Here's to the Christmas Season! Everyone have a merry good time getting ready for it.

I never put up any Christmas decorations until after my daughters birthday on the 16th of December. By that time all the shopping is done, presents wrapped, cards sent and menu planned so I can relax and enjoy looking forward to the 25th without any worries. :-D

We're starting tomorrow by cleaning, digging out the stars and chandelier to hang and set in the windows, and also put up quite a lot of other Christmas decorations. I like to pack them away as quickly after New Year's Eve as I can so I think it's nice to leave them out for the advent time.

The children and my husband are so looking forward to decorating. Me, I'm looking forward to March. :D

I never put up any decorations until at least December 1st. I've started my shopping though :)

Goodness, I JUST got around to putting out my Fall table linens the other day. I think I'll hold off on Christmas for a couple of weeks. Except for my Advent wreath. That's my favorite decoration anyway.

In years past I would start listening to seasonal songs, Winter Wonderland, Frosty the Snowman, those types of songs in August just to get me thru the hottest part of summer.

My oldest daughter was 'chomping at the bit' yesterday evening to get Autumn/Thanksgiving things stored away so the christmas decorating could begin. It's almost 10 a.m. here now and she has probably got everything decorated and ready.

The place where their tree is going was stacked with wrapped gifts yesterday, just waiting for the tree.

Phew, glad I'm not the only one. Over the the US, you are so lucky having Thanksgiving in November, it is like the start of the winter/Christmas/Thanksgiving season. A couple of decorations have snuck into the house over the last 24hours, and I know Mark is getting the rest of the decs out of the loft for me tomorrow. The tree won't go up until mum is over for the weekend next weekend. The children will enjoy decorating that with her. YAY!

Christmas season seems to start earlier and earlier every year. The shops are playing Christmas music which is lovely to hear. We usually put our tree & decs up about 2nd week in December. Mind you, this year is going to be fun and games with our little Toby and the Christmas tree. I can see us having to fish him out of it, he will think its a real tree to climb :D

I have my little tree up and snowmen sitting on the entertainment center and the floor in front of it. Doubt that I wll do any decorating outside. It is just too hard for me to get things done by myself. I will just have to enjoy my tree and others outside decor! I have been listening to Christmas music for a couple of weeks...just to kick things off!!
