I dug this out of the San Jacinto River bank a few years ago. The flowers are much smaller than the "usual" cannas around here.
The closest I can come to IDing it is "Queensland arrowroot plant". Anybody growing this? Am I on the right track?

    It is definitely a CANNA.
There are many kinds... Big plants, huge leaves and SMALL flowers... or on the contrary, quite small plants with huge blooms.
    Depends on your luck!
