We had rain showers last night and windy. Then the temps dropped and we got about a 1/2 inch of wet snow. But a bright spot this morning was a Redwind Blackbird at the feeder. He is about a month early. They normally stay in the open fields, but is probably hungry due to nothing in the fields for them.
Shoot, yesterday was 50º and sunny, and today was 25º and has been snowing all freaking day! (no accumulation though!). I like redwing blackbirds
Stinking cold and windy here tonight. I am so ready for warmer weather. In the teens tonight and tomorrow night and then warming up a little it looks like. I am thawing the rabbit waterers every day. I am hearing the song birds during the day. I saw a red headed wood pecker back at the woods earlier this week. Probably here all winter, but I never see them. Cardinals are really singing.
It seems that winter is here to stay ... for a while anyway. It just keeps snowing! Quite frankly, I've had enough of winter!!
We are to get 5-6 inches of snow late Thursday. Then change to freezing rain.Told Dh would hook hose to warm water to get it off trees.
