We had rain showers last night and windy. Then the temps dropped and we got about a 1/2 inch of wet snow. But a bright spot this morning was a Redwind Blackbird at the feeder. He is about a month early. They normally stay in the open fields, but is probably hungry due to nothing in the fields for them.

Crazy weather. Glad you are feeding the birds, and I bet the blackbird was happy too.

Stinking cold and windy here tonight. I am so ready for warmer weather. In the teens tonight and tomorrow night and then warming up a little it looks like. I am thawing the rabbit waterers every day.
I am hearing the song birds during the day. I saw a red headed wood pecker back at the woods earlier this week. Probably here all winter, but I never see them. Cardinals are really singing.

It seems that winter is here to stay ... for a while anyway. It just keeps snowing! Quite frankly, I've had enough of winter!!
