I let Chance out the front door this morning and saw red. There must have been 30 or more flitting around out there. There were females, too. Of course with all the flitting I couldn't get a picture. I went out after breakfast and filled the water tub and the two bowls that are setting on stumps. The bowls were nearly empty and the tub was down a couple of inches. We have a few cardinals all summer but in winter there are always a lot of them. I keep the tub and bowls filled with water. Yesterday, I saw a big blue jay and some doves.

It's good to know that the birds are returnig to your garden Dooley. It won't be long now until we have Siskins and Long Tailed Tits back here. I suppose the end of summer does have its advantages. :-D

I just love them. Had many past few years. Got some of Non-melt suet at Menards. We feed birds year round. But got many Ever-greens. In winter look like decorating for Christmas so much red in them.
