My 4 year olds first "garden" , her Sccoby Doo Chia Pet. Here it is on December 28th right after she applied the seed Here it is January 8th...11 days later And a shot of the very camera shy little gardener What fun!
Hey, ScoobyDoo is lookin' pretty cute, but, the little blonde Chia gardener is the CUTEST!!! 'Course, I didn't have to tell you that, did I??
I know a few folks who would love to have hair that grew that quickly!!! LOL Love the piccie of your daughter.
What a great gift for a child, there is no such thing as being exposed too early to gardening / growing plants. Give my regards to the budding gardener Netty.
Wow!!! chia pets have come a long way,,,lol. That is so cute, an a great idea to involve your daughter. Do you know what kind of seeds go on there,, i remember i got one as a gift,,, long long long time ago, when they were those,, little round animal things,, i had heard you can grow alfalfa on them, and it worked!! So maybe when that is all done let your budding gardner grow some of that then you can all have it in salad or something...just an idea.. She is adorable, shy or not,,,,,,,
Lovely, little gardener! She must be proud of her chia pet. We grow those in damp cotton, and cut them to sprinkle on sandwiches. At least I think it's the same thing.
Biita - I had no idea what kind of seeds they were until I asked here: http://www.gardenstew.com/about8518.html
I tried to grow one of those many years ago and it was a dud....I guess she is going to be a better gardener..she is so precious..I miss having a little one to help out with the flowers...
