Saw on the news this morning where a gas station owner in Florida was changing the price on the gas pumps by computer. He was raising it to $3.29 . But he didn't check it to see if it was correct. 3 hours later he notices that the lot is really packed with people and they were lined up out on the street waiting to get in and buy gas. He went out and checked the pumps and he had been selling the gas at $.329 per gal instead of $3.29 per gal. He said that his storage tanks were almost empty! That was way below what he had to pay for it. I know there were some very happy people!
Gosh even at $3.29 a gallon the petrol in Florida is really cheap!!! We're paying an average of 94.9p a litre in Scotland. Great story - bet the petrol station owner felt a bit sick though when he discovered what he'd done.
