Chinese jar

    This is a picture of a Chinese jar that dr found at the flea market on Saturday. He bought it without the lid and the man came and found him and gave him the lid later. It's very, very old and the marks on the bottom are a Ming Dynasty. They may, however, be a later dynasty that copied the Ming mark.

    It's a good sized jar. It's 16 inches tall and very heavy. I like it and I think we will keep it for awhile. We used to have a huge collection of Chinese pottery. dooley

    You never know that what you pick up may be worth a lot of money. Has anyone ever gone to one of those antique appraisal events you see on TV?

    It looks quite eye-catching Dooley, nice find.
