What are the varieties of potatoes you've got there EJ? I haven't bought mine yet and would like to try some new types.

Here we do the opposite in winter. We have to cut the germinated stalks in winter because it is too warm in the cellar.

Dear, oh dear, oh dear---I am as green as that egg carton your are chitting in. Green with envy.
I got my spuds in a couple of days ago, but I shan't begin chitting them until next month (that's only a couple of days now). I have to get my egg cartons out of my bee shed.

But you have some nice choices there. I can still remember years ago when you recommended to me the Int'l Kidneys). We tried them and were very pleased with them. I have never tried the Maris Piper. What attributes made you select that one?

Hey--good luck this year. Please let me know how you get on with that Maris Piper.

Maris piper is one of those spuds that makes great roasties or chips and it doesn't get toooooo sluggy, and those slugs are a real pain on the plot.

The spuds will chit really slowely as they are in the conservatory which is heated, but is still very chilly indeed.

Some years the slugs on my spuds are so bad that I have to hang about on the lottie until twilight and go out to the patch and pick them off by hand...I can get 30 at the time !----GADZOOKS.
