Breakfast with fresh cut chives in tasty aged cheese melted on pumpkin seed toast was amazing enough, but then came the Mother of Herb and parsley in chili sauce with chicken tenders..
Thanks Islandlife! The MOH dish was my own concoction and I must say that it was delicious. That herb combined with parsley and then the chili sauce was just perfect for the chicken. I cooked up fifteen tenders in one fry pan, though why, I don't know. Must have forgotten that my six person family is now only one and so I have much left over.. pity I can't send them in the post or you'd be getting some
I quite like the taste of chives and often put chives into egg salad (hard boiled egg, mayo, black pepper, chives) for sandwiches and or same mix but with salmon. The chives give an onion flavor but much more delicate. I definitely have a hard time cooking for 1. Quantity-wise I do much better cooking large amounts. I can't seem to ever cut down OR justify doing all the prep work and then producing 1 of anything.
