My husband keeps me from going overboard on decorating the house for the holidays. He helps arrange our 35 or so nativity scenes, helps get the garland on the mantle, and makes sure I don't put decorations in every nook and corner. Here is this year's tree, and the mantle decorated. Didn't he do a good job keeping me in bounds?

Tastefully done. Question: The fireplace doors can be opened from the inside? Santa has to be able to get out.:smt114

Very tastefully done! What would it look like if he hadn't? ;)

OO I love the tree and what you've done with the fireplace!! :D I really must get my finger out and get some decorating done before Christmas has come and gone.

Jerry, here in Texas Santa arrives in a sleigh drawn by eight not-so-tiny longhorns, and he doesn't come down the chimney. Santa leaves presents on the patio if the front door is locked and we leave barbecue, not cookies, for him. Meanwhile, the longhorns are munching on the shrubbery!
2ofus, my husband main purpose in life for the past 45 years has been to keep me from going overboard. Our house would look like a warehouse full of Christmas decorations had exploded if he didn't keep a tight rein. I don't mind--one of us has to be sensible, and that has never been my forte!
Eileen, glad you like it--decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things.

Looks lovely and very tasteful. I think if anybody is to indulge in anything Christmas ornaments are ideal! :)

    Great-looking tree and house.
It all seems so cosy and familar there, Jane.
