Our town had their annual Christmas parade on Sunday afternoon. Here are some pics. Of course it led off with the Stars and Stripes. Then came a High School Band. Even the pets had the Christmas Spirit! And the American Legion was there with our antique fire truck. And no parade is official without a caliopi! And also the Shriners Tin Lizzy brigade! By this time I was so cold I had to get in the car and get warmed up. So I missed getting a picture of Santa. This was the largest parade our town has ever had. There were 75 entrants in it and took almost an hour to go by.
Parades are just wonderful, especially when they show off our revered American Veterans. Thanks, Capt.
Love the fire truck. Not so sure about the dressed up doggie though :| From the looks of it it was really cold to just stand there and watch. Better for the people moving in the parade Thanks for entertaining us with your pics Capt.
Thank you Capt.enjoyed the parade. The only one I'll see this year. I hope you don't get sick again .We don't need an another snotgurgle attack.
Looks like a good turn out for a grand parade. Our town's parade was on Saturday, but I missed it this year.
It was cold. About 28 degrees F. I was really bundled up for it and I had the car running so I had a place where I could get warm. This morning when I got up, it was at 11 degrees F. We are supposed to be below normal temps for a couple of days yet, but no snow. The normal for us is the mid 40's.
Oooo, fab! We don't have a parade in our town, but Santa does come around on his sleigh during the week leading up to Christmas. They collect money for local charities.
Thanks for the parade Capt. Ours was Friday night. It is always a lighted parade with tractors, trucks, etc. all decorated with lights. It is quite a sight. It is also the night that our church has a live nativity on the parade route. I was too busy with it to see a lot of the parade.
