I have just a few Clematis's now, I am in the process for re-building my collection. I would enjoy seeds from anyone, and will trade back and forth. The groups I am looking for are, Tangutica, Texensis, Viticella, Alpina, and Atragene. And feel free to surprise me with seeds form odd Clematis also. Thanks Mike
Clematis question.... Here is a dumb one.. How do I start clematis from seeds? I just picked Nellie Mosser. b
starting clematis from seed Barb, The clematis seeds are incredibly temperamental, but you can either winter sow them or put them in the potting mix and freeze them for 3 months. Then they may take up to 6 or 8 months to germinate. I don't get enough cold here to stratify them so I have to freeze them. Here is a website that may help:http://www.earthnotes.tripod.com/seeds.htm I hope it helps, Seedfreak
