The other day I was behind a very slow moving car. We were in a parking lot by Safeway and the car was barely moving and stopping for every car that wanted to come out into the traffic lane and even if it was backing out at the other end he waited for it. He barely crawled over the speed bumps. I was patient. I didn't blow my horn but my mutterings were amusing DR. Finally, I yelled VERY LOUD (with windows closed), "If you can't drive it, park it!!" He immediately pulled into a parking space. No way he could have heard me. Coincidence? The other day, DR told me he would like some chocolate chip cookies. I told him I would make him some but we didn't have any chocolate chips. The next day, our neighbor Frank, (not our gnome) brought us a bag of things they get in their food box that they don't eat. When we were unpacking it, there was a bag of chocolate chips. Coincidence? This morning we needed to get up by 6 am so DR set the alarm clock. I woke up a little after 6 am and the alarm had not gone off. DR said, "I don't think that alarm clock is going to work. I need to throw it in the trash and get a new one." No sooner had he said it than, you got it, the alarm went off. Coincidence? Do you think people can transfer thoughts to other people without knowing it? Did that man hear me in his head when I hollered at him to park it? Did our neighbor hear me when I said we didn't have any chocolate chips? He does like cookies. What about inanimate objects? Did the clock decide to work so it wouldn't be tossed away? What do you think? Dooley
There are no such things as coincidences. Jung talked and wrote about the collective unconscious and it's power. Somebody else whose name I can't remember right now wrote about and tested the '100 monkeys hypothesis'. The power of human minds collectively and for that matter, individually, is more than we can imagine. I could go on forever....after all, I studied this stuff for 12 years and beyond and I got pieces of paper to prove it :grin
I think the power of thought can do most anything including moving objects .Its been proven over and over .I don't have any little papers.
I believe that we do, in some cases, cause what happens around us. Whether it is thru our vibes, thoughts or the energy we send out...whatever you want to call it. I keep trying to convince Randy of that. He goes places and expects people to screw around with him so it happens, I go the same places and it doesn't happen to me.
Absolutely!! I have a good friend who says that people always see her coming and cheat her. She's right. I expect the very best from everyone. I don't always get it, but often enough to know that I can influence my surroundings.
I know this much; the Greater-Powers-That-Be in this world (call them whatever you will) have a heck of a sense of humor, and they certainly like to have a good giggle at my expense. :-? I often hear the cosmic rimshot!! *ba-dum-bump*
I bet on coincidence Dooley but that's just me. If you throw a coin in the air and call it you will have a 50% chance of being right. You can put that down to your thought influencing the outcome or not. I just think sometimes we can look for something that isn't really there and imagine it true.
