I thought you all would like a laugh at the expense of my son. I think he forget to add the basket that holds the coffee filter. OOPS!

Sorry about the cluttered background...you know how it is, the grass is greener outside.

At least you will have the photo's to look back at
and laugh. I think everyone has made that mistake
    at least once.

I have, in the stupor of sleepiness, setup the coffee pot in many undesirable configurations not intended by the manufacturer. None of which produced a drinkable cup of coffee. While designers of coffee pots attempt to prevent such occurrences, we as consumers somehow manage to circumvent the the best of intentions. Your son's result looks familiar, I can empathize with him. Even if the event never reproduces itself, there are many other ways to accomplish a similar morning disaster. It is only a matter of time.

Oh yes, I have been there and done that! I usually know when we have a coffee failure because the cat comes and complains to me. She is a neat freak! Nothing like cleaning up coffee and grounds at 5:30 a.m. when you haven't even had your first cup of coffee!

I forgot to pour the water in once. Oops! No more pot. The switch burned out.

Actually they (the kids) did this all on their own. I wasn't home and I wouldn't have known they did this with out the pictures on my camera :D and the story when i got home.

    Oh dear.

I'm afraid that I did have to chuckle. I'll bet this is something that no one in the family will ever forget.

Karma, I still had to clean it up where they neglected to move the cd cases and my seed saving bottles and the thermos.

I had a similar result with a coffee pot at a vacation rental. After cleaning up coffee from the counter & floor two mornings in a row, I got the hang of it.

it probably would help if the inside of the machine wasn't black. It is not hard to miss that a part is not in there. It still is funny that they took the pictures and still are laughing after they mostly cleaned it up. :D
