With all of the cold and snow, at least in the eastern US, I thought this would be a good thread to start. What is the coldest temp. or the most snow that you have ever experienced?

In 1974 I started a 2 year tour of duty at Brunswick Naval Air Station at Brunswick, Maine. I was teaching POW Survival School in the spring, summer and fall. In the winter it was just a cold weather survival school. In Feb. 1975 I went through the Canadian Forces Arctic Survival course . We were actually 50 miles west of Magnetic North Pole. The next to the last day, a storm came through and the wind chill factor dropped to about -120.F. Actual temp was about -80 F. The following winter, we had a snow fall where we got 52 inches in 24 hrs.

The coldest I can remember temperatures being here was -37°C which is about -35°F. I can remember a storm a few years ago when we got 45 cm of snow overnight - 18 inches. I'm sure we had bigger snowfall when I was younger, I just don't remember.
