Before I start my wining I just wanted to say: My best wishes go out to everyone in the Eastern and southern states, I can't complain about my weather compared to you. Be safe out there and keep that emergency radio close.

Now I can complain with a clear conscience. ;)

The weather out here has been horrid. I didn't even start my toms and peppers until this week. Not supposed to have temps above 50 regularly for 3 more weeks and lows still drop below 40 every night almost.

My webbed feet are going to hurt so bad when it finaly dries out and gets warm. Anyone have suggestions for a really good moistizer? Does Daisy duck have a moisturizer line out yet?

I don't mind the rain, it makes everything grow here but these temps are going to send my body into overdrive and I will start growing a my own fur coat before I get to plant my seedlings.

Bag Balm, originally used to soothe irritation on cow's udders
but is great for dry, cracked, chapped, irritated people skin too.

Well, you are welcome to come down to sunny, DRY Texas and visit. I'll even let you weed the vegetable garden.
If you come, be sure to pack up a couple of suitcases of wet weather. We can sure use it!
I know what it's like to want to get outside and play in the dirt. You have my sympathy, and hope that your weater will improve really soon.

It never truly dries out up here, just gives us a glimmer of hope and gets all reved up just to soak us and make sure the cloud in our brains never fully discipate.

Well hopefully I never have to worry about menopause but my wife might. I guess it could be sympathy man-o-pause but she is kinda young for me to have that problem yet.

Hi fish 4 all, Do you have Tree Hut brand that direction? they make it formaldehyde free... It's very nice lotion. One of my favorite finds. this I found at Target, but heard they are not going to continue carrying it. :( If you get there soon maybe they'll still have some. :stew1:

Webbed feet? I know (or used to know) how that felt. Some too much rain... others not enough. My poor feet are so dry that I think I need to get some lotion by the barrel. And this is from down here in "just barely above sea level in the swamps of SE Texas!"
And Toni... that "menopause comment" just tickled me.
And on a serious note... I hope all that have been in the paths of all these storms/tornados/floods remain safe and "high & dry".

fish_4_all we had a forecast of possible snow to go with the rain tonight. What's with that in the Puget Sound? It is almost May! It was 36F on my drive home from work and temps are still dropping. They are saying this is the spring that wasn't with all our the cold temps.

Can't say the weather is ever boring where ever you live.

I am out here on the coast in Aberdeen. You know that little town you go through to get to Westport and Ocean Shores.

No snow forecast here but too cold for late april. Supposed to have large hail tomorrow and thunder storms.

Mother nature needs to quit throwing a hissy fit and just get spring in high gear. About the only thing I could grow right now is water chestnuts.

This April is on pace to be the coldest in 60+ years. Guess I will have to learn to grow my toms already frozen.

Good news is cold weather plants should do really well if the slugs didn't eat them before they get 1/2 inch high.

I saw the darndest thing today, talking about slugs, one had a sign that said will trade excess slime for dry leaf litter. The other was looking for water pills so it cold lose some weight.
