I found another goodie at a craft show. I'm a sucker for anything with Snoopy so there was no resisting this piece.

And remember the seahorse bird bath I recently acquired? Well she threw in this corn stalk as a bonus. Cute thing... just don't have a clue what to do with it! It's made with some old Quaker State oil cans (some of the writing and designs are still visible).

Ahhh, the WWI flying ace is out to find the Red Baron once again.
I like the corn stalk, you could stick it in the middle of a flower bed with shorter plants....make it look like a bird 'planted' it for you.

I have a friend who is Snoopy mad and would love the plane to hang on her porch.
The corn stalk is fantastic - who would have thought that old oil cans could look so good. :)

thanks everyone! They had a very good variety of the can-planes... other beers and sodas. All were cute!
And that corn stalk... it's kinda rusty already, especially the bottoms of the leaves. I was thinking of only spray painting those areas. I'm afraid it I stick it out in the elements, it wouldn't last but a year or two. So I've put on the little back deck where it will get some protection. Looks kinda out of place though... maybe I'll just bring it out around harvest time with some other decorations?

I really like the snoopy airplane. Maybe I'll visit the next craft show that come through and see if anyone is making something for the garden around here.
