Confusing house finches.

    Just a few pictures I have taken of house finches showing a variety of different colors. Thought it might be of interest. House Finches.

    Do thye get the colour variations from the types of berries they eat? It's quite unusual to see such a variety of colours in the one species.

    A very interesting read. I knew that zoo and caged birds could have variation in their colouring due to additives in their food. I'd never even thought about this occurring in wild birds but it makes perfect sense. You're teaching me so much about the natural world Kildale and I really appreciate it. Thankyou. :-D

    We have many different colored ones here.Get out my bird books when we see new one.My cat also watches for hours.
