So last fall I clipped my contorted willow tree down to 5 foot. I don't allow it to get any taller than that. Actually the water that starts the willow tree makes a great rooting hormone. I decided to make some and keep it in the greenhouse. So now I have lots of willow water and over 50 plants rooted. I potted over 50 plants today. Now I will sell them. At the moment they are just twigs...

Fantastic, we had just the one when living in the UK and brought it over in the removal Lorry to here in SW France, it is still just the one little Tree in a Ceramic Pot sitting on a huge Rock by our Summer House....We do not call it Contorted But Twisted Hazel.....originally the cutting was taken by a friendly neighbour David McConnell and he grows miniature trees very successfully...
Still dark here this morning around 6.20am and taken this...

They're very easy to root in water.

@DianneWoollie did you mean twisted Williw not twisted hazelnut?? The words contorted and twisted are interchangable.

Barb, good to see you on the Stew. I am impressed with all your contorted willow saplings!
