    Contorted Willow

I have pots and pots of Contorted Willow starts. I do this in the Fall and by Spring the pots are full of roots. This Winter we got so cold after our furnace died that most of these kind of plants defoliated. So there are pots of 'sticks' in the pots. Now just look. Shoots all over the place. They now think it's Spring.

Maybe this is a good sign.

So nice to see new growth when you were sure there would be any.

I am looking forward to seeing what has made it through our winter.

They are hardy! Last week or so I snipped a tiny stick off of mine and put it in a jar of water in my office.
I am proud to say she is leafing out :D I'm going to try to do a bonsai type thing with it I think...
