We had a light rain all night and it's in the 40's now. The clouds are supposed to hang around all day with more rain tonight and tomorrow. I have a big pot of cheddar potato soup on which should be really good. This time I have added some ham to it to give it a little different flavor.

Sounds like the weather here Capt. Only it's been pouring for hours! They say the wet weather will stick around for the whole weekend too :(

Mmm, so am; I invited for dinner?
The clouds have finally cleared here, but the wind has whipped up. I hear that our flooding made national news again. The cameras do love to film that spot where salmon swim over the road. That's been happening there for years, only now we have the population density to make it notable.
I wonder what it's like to live where your weather isn't affected so much by things happening on the ocean? Or in Japan for that matter...

Yum, soup is such a great stay in and get cosy food. I had spicy chicken broth with beans for my supper and it was delish. Our weather has been bright today but there has been a cold nip in the air - my feet were cold at work for the first time in ages and I was pleased to get home and get my slippers on.

Soup sounds wonderful on a wet day! We've got very wet weather too. I'm not certain, but I believe we have one or maybe two dry days in a week at this time of the year. So far, November has been wet, wet, wet.
