We had about a 1/2 inch of rain yesterday and then light mist overnight. Stayed in the 40's all day with a brisk northwest wind. So I've had a big ole slow cooker full of chili soup cooking all day long. Boy did that ever hit the spot for supper.
My gravel guy came today and I had new gravel put down in the drive way. Next month he is going to bring some smaller stuff for the turn around area. They are saying more rain later in the week too.

It was cool and damp here today too. Boy, some Chili would have hit the spot!
That's what our driveway needs desperately...some gravel! We are waiting until half load season is over. Was it very expensive Capt?

For #4's, golf ball sized, I paid $11 a ton. The trucker delivered and drop spreaded it for $65 a load. Had 2 loads brought in and the total was $318. But the trucker is cheaper than most. Usually they charge $100 a load. I like him because of the price and he has a smaller truck. The really big ones can't get back my driveway. He hauled a total of 17 ton.

We need a smaller truck too. Our driveway is almost 600 feet long so we need lots!
