Coopers hawk

    The Coopers hawks call in quite often and I get to take a few pics.

    I'm glad I'm not one of the small birds around when the Coopers Hawk is about. That steely gaze and that sharp beak would have me flying, fast, for cover.

    Great shot! We have Coopers Hawk's here too. I see them close up during the winter months when they are stalking my feeders.

    I have never seen a Coopers Hawk. Lots of red-tail hawks but no Coopers Hawks. Nice detail in the close-up!
