Could Anyone Help Identify this Gorgeous Flower?

Hi,
I am new to your forum & from Florida. I am hoping someone out there may be able to help identify this flower. This is at my sister's house in TN and surprisingly, she did not plant this. Wondering if it was seed that could have been carried by the birds?

It's goregous and we would be grateful for any info on this gorgeous flower. Thanks!

Thank you!!!!! I do believe that is it. Only confused by the fact that this originates from a bulb. My sister says she didn't plant anything??

It is definitely Lycoris radiata. How long has your sis lived in her house. These were probably planted there a long time ago. They are a favorite pass along plant among Southerners. They also come in white, orange, and yellow, these colors are expensive though, as high as $9.95 per bulb. The red ones sell for the same, but for 3 bulbs.

I'm not sure how long she has lived there but I think at least 10 years or so.

I did see some of the bulbs on eBay for a little less money with most of the bulbs coming from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi & even Arkansas.

I sure appreciate all the kind responses.
