I went to buy some cut flowers this afternoon. I came home without any of those, but I didn't come home empty-handed. There were orchids on sale, half price! Propably because of the Easter colour. Well, who cares when such an opportunity presents itself? We're now the proud owners of a Dendrobium nobile:

Droopy that is one great find! Congratulations!
I've never seen that many blooms on an orchid. Cool!

My goodness! That's a gorgeous choice, Droopy.
You are really getting into the easter spirit alright with that beauty.

I can't understand why they were on sale. The other ones by it were half gone, but none of these were even starting to show signs of dying. It's about 35 cm/14 inches tall, and that bloom takes 2/3 of the length. But I'm not complaining. :)

It's not fragrant, Toni. So few of the orchids for sale here are. I guess those with fragrance are more difficult to breed commercially, but I don't know that for sure. The yellow colour is like sunshine inside on a cloudy day.

That is gorgeous Droopy. I hear orchards are hard to grow is that true? I don't have any myself as I think they need to come in during the winter and I'm not so good with inside plants. The good Lord helps me take care of the plants outside so they do better.
