I just came back from a week-long trip to Taiwan. They have an inventive way of beautifying electric boxes. I wish every country did something similar.

A small thing, but appreciated :stew1:

I'd love to be able to do that with the gas box I have outside the front of the house. However, when I asked the Gas Board Service Engineer about doing it he said it was a no-no. What a pity as it would have looked much more attractive than a large white box.

These look quite nice, Frank. I do not recall seeing these when I was there. I hope that you have more pics of Taiwan to share.

Did you have to leave Malaysia for Visa reasons? Malaysia and Indonesia have this thing that they will not extend your visa inside the country...you have to physically leave and re-enter. I went once to Hong Kong and once to Taiwan when I was in the region.

Yes and no Sjoerd. I really wanted to visit Taiwan also :)

That's a real pity Eils. I guess the big guy says keep them standardised.

I have never seen any of these in Taiwan when I was there a couple of times, more like every year before 2002, guess it must be a new idea and it is great!! :)
Frank, maybe you should post a photo of electric box in Kuala Lumpur ..... hehehe!!!!! :D

    Those are really pretty.
The city next to us has their boxes decorated too, looks so much nicer than the plain box.
