Great news, B...don't forget the two important things with them: good drainage and acidy soil conditions. Send some pics when you get them in.
Thanks Sjoe, THey will get drainage for sure. We live on a hill.LOL....... Acid like the azalea I suppose......... Blueberries acid . I actually use Vinegar in water for that .. I get lots of blueberrys.. Must be ok.. b
Yeah acid like blueberries. Actually the "normal situation" for cranberries was one created by moving glaciers--there would be Kettel holes scooped out of the earth's crust, or in some cases huge chunks of glacial ice would break-off and melt, then layers of sand and plant debris/peat would be deposited in there by the glacier's movement so that a sort of boggy situation existed and then the seeds would fll into these pits and there it was--the perfect microcosm for cranberries to grow in. This is an interesting thing to read about. I studied it years ago, but I still find it an interesting subject.
Wow Thanks I am going to read that. I love the challange of the glaciers and Volcanos .. But not the actions. Poor alaska is on the verge of eruptions.. b
